Earlier this year, Andrews Flour employees were given the chance to nominate a chosen charity to be entered into a draw where six charities would be randomly chosen to receive a £300 donation.
This was the last of the celebrations of the Andrews Flour 300 Years in business and a highlight to be able to support so many charities that do so much to help so many.
The following charities were randomly chosen:
1. Foodstock – a charity based in West Belfast that tackle poverty in the community – https://www.facebook.com/FoodstockCharity/
2. Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice – based in Glengormley, this charity supports babies, children and their families through a range of services including specialised nursing care, palliative and end of life care – https://www.nihospice.org/our-services/children-s-services/
3. Northern Ireland Blind Golf – a charity that provides the opportunity for visually impaired and blind people to play golf – https://www.nibga.org/
4. Alzheimer’s Society Northern Ireland – providing support to those affected by dementia and research into life-changing treatments – https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/
5. Welcome Organisation – helping people affected by homelessness through a drop-in centre, street outreach service, crisis accommodation for women, floating support services and Catherine House supported accommodation for women – https://www.homelessbelfast.org/
6. MS Society Northern Ireland – helping those with, or in the process of getting a Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis through emotional, financial and community support – https://www.mssociety.org.uk/
Congratulations to all our chosen charities!
