Recipe Type: Crumble
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C or Gas Mark 4.
- In a large mixing bowl add in the blackberries, sugar and lemon juice and then mix in the cornflour until combined. Pour the mixture into a shallow oven proof dish, approx. 25cm in size.
- Place all the crumble ingredients into a large bowl. Rub the butter into the dry ingredients until it resembles breadcrumbs in texture. Spread this over the top of the blackberry mixture and bake in the oven for 40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the blackberry mix is bubbling. Set aside to cool and serve with ice cream.

650g blackberries
3 tbsp cornflour
150g demerara sugar
1/2 lemon – juiced
Crumble
300g Mortons Plain Flour
50g rolled oats
1/2 tsp salt
50g demerara sugar
175g butter
