Recipe Type: Wheaten Bread
Method
- Pre-heat the oven to 200C and either grease or line a 1lb loaf tin with parchment.
- In a large mixing bowl add the Mortons Wheaten Bread Mix and the butter and rub together until combined.
- Add in the sugar and the salt and give the mixture a quick mix before adding the raisins and walnuts and mixing again.
- Pour in the buttermilk and give the mixture a good stir to combine.
- Turn the dough mixture out onto a floured surface and knead lightly before placing into the prepared loaf tin.
- Bake in the oven for 40 minutes or until a skewer inserted comes out clean and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
